Cosmos Orion is an automated Expert Advisor designed specifically for gold trading on MetaTrader 5. Built around a three point structure breakout strategy, it focuses on identifying confirmed market structures before placing trades rather than attempting to predict price direction. The system operates on the H2 timeframe and waits for price to establish a qualifying structure before preparing a breakout entry. Every order is protected by a predefined Stop Loss, providing a structured approach to trade management without relying on grid trading, martingale, or averaging down.

The core strategy identifies confirmed three pivot structures using closed H2 candles. Once a valid structure forms, Cosmos Orion places a Buy Stop or Sell Stop order near the newest pivot, depending on the direction of the potential breakout. If price does not break out, or the structure becomes invalid, the EA automatically removes expired or invalidated pending orders. All signal calculations are performed internally on H2, meaning users can attach the EA to a chart without changing its underlying strategy timeframe.

Cosmos Orion includes several exit management features designed to manage trades as market conditions evolve. Every pending order is submitted with a hard Stop Loss and Take Profit. The Break Even function moves the protective stop beyond the entry price after the trade achieves the required progress. A trailing stop follows favourable price movements, while partial take profit allows the system to secure part of a position and leave the remaining portion open for further potential gains. Exit distances are calculated as percentages of the current gold price, helping the settings remain proportionate as price levels change.

The EA incorporates multiple protection mechanisms. Its profit lock pauses new entries until the next server day after two consecutive winning trades. A weekend guard removes pending orders before the Friday close and resumes order placement on Monday, while existing positions continue to be managed. The macro window guard pauses new entries around major United States economic announcements. A volatility filter prevents new entries when volatility falls outside the configured range, and maximum spread protection helps restrict trading under unfavourable spread conditions. A margin pre check with a safety reserve adds another layer of order validation.

Cosmos Orion offers flexible position sizing through five risk levels ranging from one to five percent per order. Users can calculate risk from the current account balance or the initial balance, select a fixed lot size, or specify a custom risk percentage. On smaller accounts, the broker minimum lot size may exceed the intended percentage risk, so traders should verify actual exposure before trading.

Automatic broker time detection identifies the broker GMT offset and daylight saving adjustments where possible, with manual settings available as a fallback. The chart dashboard displays the EA status, time detection results, and active filters, while visual markers identify three pivot structures and potential entry levels. Animations can be disabled to reduce resource usage on VPS systems.

Cosmos Orion is designed for XAUUSD or compatible gold symbols, requires a hedging account, and is not supported on netting accounts. A low spread ECN or Raw account and a reliable VPS are recommended, with a suggested minimum deposit of two hundred dollars.
