Ultimate Breakout System EA Review (2026): A Breakout Strategy Builder for MT5 With 300+ Set Files and No Live Record of Its Own
By Benjamin Lee · Updated · 27 min read
Ultimate Breakout System is not a single trading robot. It is a MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor that lets the buyer build breakout strategies on any symbol and timeframe from three entry models, a long list of trailing-stop options and more than 300 pre-made set files. The vendor says the engine took eight years to develop and is the foundation of several well-known MQL5 gold EAs, including Gold Reaper. That is an interesting claim, and it is also the problem for anyone trying to judge the product: the listing we read links no live signal for Ultimate Breakout System itself, so the only results a buyer sees before paying are backtests. We read the full listing on 29 October 2026 (version 9.4, updated the day before, 10 activations), scored it on the same eight criteria as every verdict here and marked clearly what we could not check. The result is 40.8 out of 100 with a Medium risk label: a capable and well-supported toolkit whose results depend on the buyer's own testing discipline, with no public proof yet that its set files hold up live.

Key takeaways
- Ultimate Breakout System scores 40.8 out of 100 (band: Weak) with a Medium risk label. Support and documentation are its strongest points; verified evidence and profitability are its weakest, because no live record for this product was linked in the listing we read.
- It is a breakout strategy builder, not a fixed strategy. Three entry models (support and resistance breakout, volatility breakout and opening range breakout) are combined with stop loss, take profit and five kinds of trailing exit. The buyer picks or builds the strategy.
- The listing says it includes 300+ pre-developed set files, all future set files, a manual and video tutorial, optimisation templates and a private chat group. The default settings are an XAUUSD daily example that runs in the tester without loading a set file.
- The vendor says this engine underlies Gold Reaper, Goldtrade Pro, Goldbot One, Indicement and Daytrade Pro. If true, it says the engine can produce a working EA. It does not tell you how the 300+ set files you receive will trade, and the listing does not link those EAs' records.
- We sell a listing for Ultimate Breakout System, so we have a direct financial interest. We could not read the Market price, the seller name, the rating or the reviews on 29 October 2026; each is listed under what we could not verify.

The verdict at a glance: a strong toolkit, a weak proof file
Most EAs we score sell one strategy and one record. Ultimate Breakout System sells a method: an engine for breakout trading plus a library of strategies the developer built with it. That changes what a buyer is paying for. The question is not only 'does this EA make money?' but 'will the strategies I choose or build with it survive live trading?' The listing gives good help with the first half of that job, how to load set files, how to backtest, how to optimise, and almost nothing for the second, because it does not link a live account running the product itself.
So the score splits in two. Support, fit and sustainability score in the middle or better: the product is actively updated, well documented, flexible and not built on a grid or martingale. Evidence and profitability score low: we found no verified record to check, no profit factor, no drawdown and no live trade count. That gap, on the two heaviest-weighted criteria after risk, is what puts the total where it is. The scorecard and radar below show how it adds up.

What Ultimate Breakout System actually is
Ultimate Breakout System is an Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 listed on the MQL5 Market as product 133653. When we read it on 29 October 2026 it showed version 9.4, an update date of 28 October 2026 and 10 activations per licence. The vendor calls it 'a sophisticated and proprietary Expert Advisor meticulously developed over eight years' and 'a professional-grade tool designed to empower traders to create an unlimited number of breakout strategies across any market and timeframe'.
Three things set it apart from a normal EA listing. First, it is a builder: the buyer chooses an entry model, the rules for which levels count as support or resistance, the exits and the trailing logic, and can save the result as a set file. Second, it ships with a library: the vendor says more than 300 set files are included, 'including those powering my MQL5 Breakout EAs', with all future set files added. Third, it is pitched at prop-firm traders, with the line that buyers can 'create your own unique trading strategies and portfolio's, without ever being flagged for copy trading'. That last point is about uniqueness of trades, not about whether a prop firm's rules allow a given EA, which you should check with the firm.
| Item | What the listing says |
|---|---|
| Platform, version | MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor; version 9.4, updated 28 October 2026; 10 activations. |
| Concept | A black-box breakout engine for building strategies on any market and timeframe, developed over eight years. |
| Entry models | Support and resistance breakout with pending orders at the levels; volatility breakout after consolidation; opening range breakout of a user-defined range. |
| Exits | Stop loss and take profit per trade; normal trailing stop with distance, start, stop and step; time-based trailing stop; trailing stop on recent support and resistance; 'MagicTrail SL' for scalping; trailing take profit. |
| Included | 300+ pre-developed set files, all future set files, a manual and video tutorial, optimisation templates with start, step and stop values, access to a private chat group. |
| Default settings | A simple XAUUSD daily example that runs in the tester without loading a set file. |
| Testing advice | Each set file states its pair and timeframe; most can be tested on '1 Minute OHLC'; scalper sets should be tested on real ticks. |
| Setup requirement | For AUTO_GMT to work, the worldtimeserver.com URL must be added to the allowed WebRequest URLs in the terminal options. |
| Lineage claim | The system 'has served as the foundation' for Gold Reaper EA, Goldtrade Pro, Goldbot One, Indicement and Daytrade Pro. |
| Bonus | A reward scheme for strong strategies built by clients, which the developer may use himself or in future EAs; details by private message. |
| Developer | Says he has 15+ years building automated systems and a history of highly rated MQL5 products. The seller name was not shown in the page text we could read. |
How we judged it, and who has something to sell
Every party near an EA has an interest. Here are the ones around this product, ours included, so you can weigh what each says.
- The developer sells the licence, the bonus scheme and, by his account, other EAs built on the same engine. His description is the main source for this verdict and is also his sales page.
- MQL5 and MetaQuotes host the Market, the Strategy Tester the set files are tested in and the signals service that could, if used, verify a live record. Their documentation is independent of the vendor.
- Buyers who post reviews would add testimony. We could not open the reviews on our check, so none are quoted here.
- ForexCopilotEA sells a listing for this EA. We gain if you buy it, which is why this verdict starts with that fact and uses the same rules as every other.
Evidence ladder: what each rung of proof held for Ultimate Breakout System
Grade A: Independent proof
- No platform-verified signal or third-party audited account for this product was linked in the listing text we read.
- MetaQuotes and Myfxbook documentation, used only for how testing reports, optimisation and verified records work.
Grade B: Checkable vendor material
- The Market listing: version 9.4, update date, activations, entry models, exit options, setup steps and inclusions.
- The manual the listing says is available on the product page, a YouTube video and twelve screenshots on the listing.
- The default XAUUSD daily settings, which any buyer with the file can run in the Strategy Tester.
Grade C: Claim only
- 'Developed over eight years' and '+15 years of experience'.
- That the engine is 'the foundation' for Gold Reaper EA, Goldtrade Pro, Goldbot One, Indicement and Daytrade Pro, and that Gold Reaper 'held the number one position for over seven months'.
- That the set files are 'professional-grade' and that the vendor builds systems 'with the highest probability of having live results in line with the backtests'.
Grade D: Conflicted, anonymous or unverifiable
- Backtest screenshots chosen by the seller. They show what was tested, not what was not, and an optimised backtest is the easiest result to make look good.
How the three breakout models make and lose money
A breakout strategy enters when price moves through a level, betting that the move will run. The listing describes three ways of choosing the level. Support and resistance breakout places pending orders at levels the EA judges important, buying the upward break of resistance and selling the downward break of support. Volatility breakout looks for a quiet, contracting market and enters when price leaves the range with volatility rising. Opening range breakout marks the high and low of a chosen window, such as a session open, and trades the first break of it.
All three share the same economics. Most breakouts fail: price pokes through, stalls and comes back. A breakout system therefore usually loses more often than it wins and lives on the few moves that run far. The exit tools in Ultimate Breakout System exist to manage that shape: a stop to cap the failures, a trailing stop to stay in the runners, a time-based trail to cut trades that go nowhere and a trailing take profit that, in the vendor's words, tries 'to exit with small TP or small loss instead of full SL'. Each tool shifts the balance between win rate and payoff. Tighten the exits and the win rate rises while the average win shrinks; loosen them and the reverse happens.
Because the strategy is the buyer's to choose, there is no single win rate or profit factor for 'Ultimate Breakout System'. A daily gold swing set and a scalper set built on the same engine can behave as differently as two separate EAs. The expectancy calculator below is the right tool for any set file you test: put in its win rate, average win and average loss from a long backtest, and see what is left per trade before spread and slippage.
Interactive: win rate is not edge
- Expected result per trade
- +0.35
- Profit factor
- 1.64
- Break-even win rate
- 33%
At these numbers the system has a positive edge before costs. Add spread, commission and slippage per trade and re-check.
Pending orders matter here. The listing says the EA places pending orders at the levels 'for best execution'. A pending stop order fills when price reaches it, which avoids waiting for a candle to close, but on a fast break it can still fill with slippage, and on a gap it can fill far beyond the level. Scalper sets, with small targets and the aggressive 'MagicTrail SL', are the most exposed: the vendor's own advice to test them on real ticks is a signal that 1-minute OHLC tests flatter them. See our guide to backtest versus live results for why the gap is largest on short-hold strategies.
Ultimate Breakout System settings: set files, defaults and the AUTO_GMT step
Most searches for 'Ultimate Breakout System settings' come from buyers wondering which inputs to use. The listing answers this in a way that differs from most EAs: you mostly do not set the inputs yourself; you load a set file. Each of the 300+ included files, the vendor says, states which pair and timeframe it is for. To test one, open the Strategy Tester, choose the EA, right-click in the Inputs tab, choose Load, pick the set file, then set the matching symbol and timeframe. The default inputs, with no set file loaded, are a simple example for XAUUSD on the daily chart.
- Allow the time server first. For AUTO_GMT to work, add the worldtimeserver.com URL given on the listing to Tools, Options, Expert Advisors, 'Allow WebRequest for listed URL'. Without it, session-based models such as the opening range can use the wrong broker offset.
- Match the set file to the chart. Use exactly the pair and timeframe the file names. A gold set on a currency pair, or a daily set on an hourly chart, is a different strategy that nobody has tested.
- Pick the right tester model. The listing says most sets can be tested on '1 Minute OHLC' for speed and that scalper sets need real ticks. Use real ticks for anything that holds trades for minutes, and our Strategy Tester settings guide for the rest.
- Read the risk inputs before the profit. Check the lot or risk-per-trade input, whether a stop loss is set and its size, and the trailing options. The listing says each trade 'can be set' with a stop; it does not say a stop is forced.
- Test on your broker's data. Spread, commission, symbol name and server time differ by broker. A set file built on one feed can trade differently on another.
- Stack set files with care. Running several set files on one account is how the vendor's portfolio idea works. Each adds its own losing streaks, and correlated gold sets can lose together. Our guide on running several EAs as a portfolio shows how to size the whole, not each part.
The optimisation templates deserve a word. The listing says they hold the 'start', 'step' and 'stop' values the developer used to create the strategies for his own MQL5 EAs, so a buyer can 'simply plug-in and optimize'. That is useful, and it is also the step most likely to hurt a new user. An optimiser will always find the inputs that fitted the past best; the more inputs and the wider the ranges, the more likely the winner is noise. Treat any optimised set as a hypothesis, test it on years it was not optimised on, and look for a plateau of good settings rather than one sharp peak. Our guides to optimising without overfitting and walk-forward analysis cover the method.
The evidence problem: a builder with no record of its own
We give the most weight to records that someone other than the vendor computed from broker history: an MQL5 signal, a verified Myfxbook account, a broker statement. For Ultimate Breakout System, the listing text we read did not link any of these. What it offers instead is the lineage claim: the engine is the foundation of Gold Reaper EA, 'which held the number one position for over seven months', and of Goldtrade Pro, Goldbot One, Indicement and Daytrade Pro.
That claim is worth something and less than it appears. If the same developer built those EAs with this engine, it shows the engine can produce strategies that sell and, in Gold Reaper's case, a strategy with a public live signal that we scored separately. It does not show three things a buyer needs. It does not show that the set files in this package are the same as the ones those EAs run; the listing says the library includes 'those powering my MQL5 Breakout EAs', without saying which files map to which product or version. It does not show how the rest of the 300+ files perform. And it does not show how strategies a buyer builds will do, which depends on the buyer's testing far more than on the engine.
A Market ranking is also not a performance figure. Rankings reflect sales and popularity over a period; they say nothing direct about profit factor or drawdown. We could not verify the 'number one for over seven months' claim, and even if verified it would describe Gold Reaper's popularity, not this product's results. Our guide to verifying an EA track record explains what to ask for instead.
What would change the score quickly is cheap for the vendor to supply: one public MQL5 signal running a named set file from the library, at the default or a stated risk, for several months. Two or three such signals across different entry models would do more. Until then, evidence is graded B at best, and our rules cap the evidence score at 4 out of 10 without a grade A source. We scored it 2.5 because the B material is screenshots and description, not a reproducible test report.
Risk: a stop-based design, but the risk is the buyer's to set
Nothing in the listing describes a grid, martingale, averaging down or recovery lot sizing. The trades are breakout entries with a stop and target that can be set per trade and a choice of trailing exits. That is the profile of a stop-based design, and it is why we label it Medium and not High. A Medium label means drawdowns of meaningful size are normal and a total loss would need unusual conditions or misuse. With a toolkit, misuse is easier than usual, so the label comes with conditions.
- Optional stops. The listing says each trade 'can be set' with a stop loss. If a set file or a buyer runs without one, a single adverse move is no longer bounded and the Medium label no longer applies. Check the stop input of every set file you run.
- Portfolio stacking. The vendor encourages building portfolios. Ten set files at 1% risk each are up to 10% of the account at risk at once, and gold-based sets can trigger together on the same move.
- Breakout streaks. A system that wins fewer than half its trades will have long losing runs as a matter of arithmetic. Twenty losses in a row at 1% each is a drawdown of about 18%; at 3% each it is close to half the account.
- Regime dependence. Breakouts pay in trending, volatile markets and bleed in ranges. A set file optimised on a trending stretch can spend months losing small amounts when the market goes sideways.
- Execution. Pending orders on fast breaks fill with slippage, and scalper sets with small targets are the most exposed. The vendor's real-tick advice says as much.
- Weekend and news gaps. A pending order can fill far beyond its level when price gaps. Our guide to weekend gaps and rollover risk covers what a stop can and cannot do then.
Interactive: drawdown recovery
Gain needed to get back to break-even
+42.9%
Blue: equity left. Red: equity lost.
Consecutive losing trades to reach this drawdown: 36
Profitability: nothing to measure yet
We score profitability on profit factor, expectancy, return against drawdown and how evenly the profit arrived. For this product there is no live figure for any of them. The screenshots on the listing show backtests, and a backtest of a strategy chosen from hundreds, optimised by the person selling it, is the weakest kind of profit evidence there is. That is not an accusation: the vendor explicitly says he does not sell 'perfect straight line backtests' and that he aims for live results in line with tests. It is a description of the evidence available, which is why profitability scores 2.5 out of 10 on a grade C basis.
There is a second, structural reason for caution. When a library holds 300+ strategies, some will look excellent on past data by chance alone. The more strategies you screen, the better the best one looks, and the less that best result predicts. A buyer who sorts the library by backtest profit and runs the top few is selecting for luck as much as for edge. Pick set files whose logic you understand, that hold up across years and nearby settings, and that make sense on your broker's costs, not simply the ones with the steepest curve.
Transparency, trust and the bonus scheme
The listing is more open about method than most. It names the entry models, lists the trailing options, explains how to load and test set files, warns about the AUTO_GMT setting and says scalper sets need real ticks. The developer's 'About me' rejects 'neural network/machine learning AI/ChatGPT/Quantum computer/perfect straight line backtests' sales talk, which is a welcome change from many gold EA listings. The engine itself is closed, as almost every Market product is, so the exact rules for picking levels cannot be read.
Two points reduce the trust score. The lineage claims name five products but, in the text we read, link no records for them, so a buyer must look them up alone. And the bonus scheme, under which clients who build strong strategies can be rewarded and the developer may 'use myself or incorporate in future EA's', is a fair offer but also means buyers' research can feed the vendor's future products. Read the terms by private message before you take part. On our check we also could not see the seller name, the price, the rating or the reviews, which we would normally weigh here.
Who Ultimate Breakout System fits, and who it does not
- It fits a trader who wants to research breakout strategies, is comfortable in the MT5 Strategy Tester, will test set files on real ticks and on their own broker's data, and will forward-test on a demo before risking money.
- It fits a prop-firm trader who wants strategies that are not identical to a widely copied EA, provided the firm allows EAs and the trader checks daily loss limits against each set file's losing streaks. See prop firms versus your own account and our FTMO challenge guide.
- It does not fit someone looking for one EA to switch on and leave. The product's value is in the choosing and testing, and skipping that work turns a toolkit into a guess.
- It does not fit a buyer who will sort the library by backtest profit, stack the top ten on one account and raise the lot size. That is the fastest way to turn a stop-based design into a high-risk portfolio.
- It needs a VPS for anything intraday, an account with low costs for scalper sets, and the WebRequest URL allowed for AUTO_GMT.
Price and value: what we could and could not read
We could not read the MQL5 Market price in the page text we fetched on 29 October 2026, so this verdict quotes none. What the listing does state is the package: 10 activations, 300+ set files, all future set files, a manual and video, optimisation templates and a private group. For a researcher that is a lot of material. For a buyer judging value, the missing piece is the one that matters most: there is no live record to set the price against. We score cost at 3 out of 10 on that basis, and would revisit it with a confirmed price and a public signal.
Count the running costs too. A VPS is close to essential for session and intraday sets, real-tick testing takes time and disk space, and scalper sets need an account with tight spreads and commission. If you buy from a seller other than the Market, such as our own listing, the price, version and support terms differ. Check what each seller includes, especially the set file library and access to the private group, before you pay.
The score, criterion by criterion: 40.8 out of 100
| Criterion | Score | Points | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Verified evidence (weight 20) | 2.5 / 10 | 5.0 | No live signal or verified account is linked in the listing text we read; the proof on offer is backtest screenshots, a manual and the vendor's own description, all vendor material and none of it tied to a record of this exact product. |
| Risk and drawdown behaviour (weight 20) | 4.5 / 10 | 9.0 | A breakout design with pending orders, settable stop loss and take profit and no grid or martingale described; but stops are an option, not a stated rule, and the risk of any account depends on which of 300+ set files the buyer stacks and at what size. No drawdown figure exists to check. |
| Profitability quality (weight 15) | 2.5 / 10 | 3.8 | There is no profit factor, expectancy or live growth figure for this product to score, only optimised backtests and a claim that it underlies other EAs; the claim, even if true, describes those products and not the set files a buyer will run. |
| Sustainability (weight 15) | 5 / 10 | 7.5 | Active development (version 9.4, updated 28 October 2026), a stated eight-year history and three plain breakout models that do not depend on one market; against that, a workflow built on optimisation, which is where most curve-fitting starts. |
| Transparency and trust (weight 10) | 5 / 10 | 5.0 | The listing explains the entry models, the trailing options and the backtest steps, publishes a manual and rejects AI sales talk; but the engine is a black box, the lineage claims are unlinked, and the seller name, price and reviews were not readable on our check. |
| Practical fit (weight 10) | 5.5 / 10 | 5.5 | Any symbol and timeframe, a prop-firm angle and fast 1-minute OHLC testing; but the buyer must choose or build strategies, scalper sets need real-tick tests, AUTO_GMT needs a WebRequest URL allowed, and none of this suits someone who wants to switch it on and leave it. |
| Cost and value (weight 5) | 3 / 10 | 1.5 | We could not read the price on 29 October 2026, so value cannot be judged against it; 10 activations, 300+ set files and future set files are real inclusions, but there is no live record to set any price against. |
| Support and usability (weight 5) | 7 / 10 | 3.5 | 300+ set files, future set files, a manual, a video tutorial, optimisation templates, a private chat group and a default XAUUSD daily example that runs without a set file; we could not check how fast the vendor answers. |
The total is 40.8 out of 100, in the Weak band. Two criteria decide it. Evidence, at 2.5, and profitability, at 2.5, together carry 35 points of weight and return under 9, because there is no live record of the product to check. Risk, at 4.5, gets credit for a stop-based design with no grid or martingale described and loses it because stops are optional and the real risk depends on how many set files a buyer stacks and at what size. Support, at 7, is the strongest score: few EAs ship with this much material for testing.
The score is a judgement of the evidence, not of the engine's potential. A capable engine with no public record scores lower here than an ordinary EA with a long verified one, because a buyer can check the second and must take the first on trust. That is by design: the methodology rewards proof a buyer can open.
How it compares with other breakout EAs we have scored
The closest comparison is Gold Reaper, the product the listing names as built on this engine. Gold Reaper is a finished gold EA with a public MQL5 signal; Ultimate Breakout System is the toolkit, with set files instead of a single strategy and no signal of its own. Gold House, from a different developer, is another stop-based gold breakout EA with two live signals, which is why it scores higher on evidence. Ultimate Breakout System's 40.8 reflects that gap, not a worse design. For how breakout, grid and scalper designs differ, see our strategy comparison and our gold EA category.
| Ultimate Breakout System | Gold Reaper | Gold House | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What you buy | A strategy builder with 300+ set files | One gold strategy | One gold EA with three modes |
| Live record linked on the listing | None found | Yes, an MQL5 signal | Yes, two MQL5 signals |
| Grid or martingale | None described | None described | None stated |
| Who chooses the strategy | The buyer | The developer | The developer, with mode choice |
Questions to put to the developer before you pay
- Is there a live MQL5 signal or verified account running a set file from this library, and which file is it?
- Which set files match the strategies in Gold Reaper, Goldtrade Pro, Goldbot One, Indicement and Daytrade Pro, and are they the same versions those EAs run today?
- Do all included set files use a stop loss, and what risk per trade do they assume?
- Over what period were the set files optimised, and were they tested on data they were not optimised on?
- Which set files do you advise a new buyer to start with, and how many should run on one account?
- What are the terms of the bonus scheme, and who owns a strategy a client submits?
- Is a free demo available, and can the manual be read before purchase?

Frequently asked questions
Is Ultimate Breakout System EA legit?
It is a real, actively updated MQL5 Market product (version 9.4, updated 28 October 2026) with a clearly described breakout method and a large set file library. We do not allege wrongdoing. Its weakness is proof: the listing we read links no live record for the product itself, which is why it scores 40.8 out of 100 with a Medium risk label.
What are the best Ultimate Breakout System settings?
There is no single best setting. The product ships with 300+ set files, each naming its pair and timeframe, and a default XAUUSD daily example. Load a set file, use its exact symbol and timeframe, confirm a stop loss is set, test on your broker's data (real ticks for scalper sets) and forward-test on a demo before going live.
Does Ultimate Breakout System use a grid or martingale?
Nothing in the listing describes a grid, martingale or averaging down. It trades breakouts with pending orders, a settable stop loss and take profit and several trailing options. Stops are an option rather than a stated rule, so check the stop input of every set file. We cannot read the code.
Is Ultimate Breakout System the same as Gold Reaper?
No. The vendor says this engine is the foundation of Gold Reaper and other EAs, and that the library includes the set files behind his breakout EAs. Gold Reaper is a finished EA with its own live signal; Ultimate Breakout System is a toolkit for building strategies. We could not verify which set files match which product.
Can I use Ultimate Breakout System for prop firm challenges?
The vendor pitches it to prop traders because buyers can build unique strategies instead of copying a common EA. Whether it passes depends on the firm's rules and on each set file's losing streaks against the daily loss limit. Check the firm's EA rules and test the exact set files first.
Why does AUTO_GMT not work?
The listing says AUTO_GMT needs the worldtimeserver.com URL added to the allowed WebRequest URLs in Tools, Options, Expert Advisors. Without it, the EA cannot read the time offset, which matters for session and opening range strategies.
How was the score calculated?
Eight weighted criteria (evidence 20, risk 20, profitability 15, sustainability 15, trust 10, fit 10, cost 5, support 5), each scored out of ten against written anchors. Sources are graded A to D, and without a grade A source the evidence score is capped at 4. We sell a listing for this EA, which is disclosed at the top. The total here is 40.8 out of 100.
